The Archival Print
The high end print is the Archival Print. This type of print is also referred to in the industry as a "giclée" (pronounced zhee-clay). Each Archival Print is hand glazed and finished with hand torn deckled edges. Each print is signed by the artist and numbered. The number of prints in each edition is strictly limited, usually below 250. The Ballroom Series One Archival Prints, for example, are limited to a mere 125 pieces. They are printed on acid free, 100% cotton fiber paper with pigmented inks which will stand the test of time for generations. Archival Prints will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity which describes the print and guarantees the limitations of the edition.

The Decorative Print
The next level of print is the Decorative Print, otherwise known as the dye proof. In preparation for the Archival Prints, the studio must run a number of tests proofs, used to make creative decisions. In the interest of economy, these cannot be fully archival, but rather are printed with dyes which approximate the colors of the final image. Still, each dye proof can be presented as a beautiful decorative image to inexpensively accent your home or office. The Decorative Prints are often signed by the artist, although they are neither numbered nor limited in their edition.
