Eternal Dancer oil on canvas, 60" x 84", 2005
Eternal Dancer is the largest painting of the Dance Series at a startling dimension of five feet by seven feet. Its original working title was "Opus One". The title "Eternal Dancer" was later inspired by the symbol of infinity, similar to a Celtic knot, which permeates the composition. You may also detect the image of a fire breathing dragon woven into the center of the painting. The use of the symbol of infinity ties this painting in with those from the Paris Series, where one can find the symbol used with jugglers, chess players and mermaids.
The original of the painting Eternal Dancer is still available for purchase. Also it can be ordered as an Archival Print or a Decorative Print. Click here for prices and details.
